I opened Chris Murphy’s Automotive in August 1992.
My mechanical career began with the United States Army where I maintained and repaired wheel and track vehicles from Jeeps up to and including 60 ton track recovery vehicles. Upon leaving the Army, I was hired by an independent automotive garage/gas station where I worked for four years. Leaving there, I went to a family owned independent business and worked with them for an additional eight years.
In the Summer of 1992, I made the decision to open my own automotive repair and maintenance facility on Garland Road at Lochwood. While at Chris Murphy’s Automotive, I have evolved from the mechanic to the business owner, where I still to this day work on my customers vehicles.
